Help an Engineering Student go to a Conference to Present her Paper!
Joan Kitundu just graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. With guidance from her professor Jacqueline Masaki and Kittelson staff members Emmanuel Masindoki, Nagui Rouphail, and Wayne Kittelson, she successfully completed a dissertation on calibrating the critical gap and follow-up time at stop-controlled intersections. Joan submitted a paper that was accepted for presentation at an international meeting of the Transportation Research Board, which will be held in Washington, DC in January, and now she needs financial assistance to attend. What a game changer it will be for Joan's career if we can find a way to get her to the conference!
Please give Joan the opportunity to meet her professional peers, make her first trip outside of Tanzania, and most importantly present the paper she authored by pledging financial support for the trip.
